Well...let's just say we screwed up our presentation.
I'm so not in the mood to type right now but...i have to...
So actually if we weren't the 2nd group we could've finished our animatics.
And the 4 thumbdrive thing...sighh...
The worst thing is, it's not that we didn't do the work it's just that we didn't have time to render it. It's so close!Argh! Well it's over anyway all I can do now is just wait for the marks...Sigh..there goes my good grade...Oh well at least we did our best and we learned from our mistakes.

Submission is tomorrow!! (technically today)
Submission is tomorrow!!!
We've finished our storyboard and all and now we decided to colour it. Jin uan's doing the colouring and I'll be helping out too. Apple's going to do the animatics but she has to wait for us to finish all the frames. Hopefully we can finish!!
Don't think we'll be sleeping tonight.
Joel will be doing the mood board and Raymond are going to do the budgeting and packaging.
And good job Apple for designing our name card and poster!

Overtime
Today (Tonight) is the first time I stayed in school until like really late. But thankfully Raymond, Maj and Kezia (though she left 3 hours before us) to keep me company and to finsh their work too. Apple (Yan Ping), Jing Yuan and Joel had night class so they couldn't stay with us.They missed all the fun.Oh well.haha.
Well we haven't really finished our skecthing but we're only left with 1 more verse and then we can scan and do our animatics already. I thought that we had too little time since we only had until thursday.But it's alright we can finish it!Haha! Hopefully tomorrow (well technically it's today since it's past midnight) we can finish everything.Okay even though we cant finish by hook or by crook we still have to finish it.

Interim
We did our presentation today and our main ideas are morphing instead of using transitions and cuts. Well there are a little bit of cuts but quite few.However, Ronald stated that we shouldn't translate our ideas directly from the song because it's like spoon feeding us. But then again most of the country music especially those really old ones tell a story from the lyrics to the music video.
We decided to stick to our morphing ideas after we consulted with Ronald because we thought it was quite a good idea since not many are doing our ideas. But we still have to do research in our environment and character designs because those that we drew are quite mordern. Therefore we're gonna make it more country and olden like.Haha.
So tomorrow we're gonna continue again...Loads to dooo!!!

On the second day of storyboarding discussion my groupmates gave to me....
So we thought that our main theme/idea was a person walking and his background changes.Well I guess we canceled that idea out.Okay the changing of background part stays but our main idea now is warping.Morphing one object to another object. Pretty complex but kinda cool(We didn't think our ideas would change).
Even though most of the MVs (music videos)nowadays do not have anything to do with the lyrics, meaning the video and the lyrics are totally not connected to each other, we still stick to the olden-days MVs which has connection to the lyrics since our song is a country song.Furthermore, by doing the video this way,if I were the audience, I would feel that the lyrics of the song has more meaning and will create a larger impact on me. What's a song without meaningful lyrics? Lyrics are supposed to tell something to the listeners therefore we decided to do our video this way.
We have loads of thing to do..well at least for Jing Yuan and I since we are the storyboard artists. We are going to sacrifice our weekends to do our storyboard instead of relaxing and hanging out with friends.Haha. Jing Yuan took the 1st verse of the lyrics and I took the 2nd verse. Both of us are gonna do on the chorus and show each other asap before presentation on monday to compare and see which one of us has the better one or we can also take some from each other.

Hello blogspot it's been a long time since I came here / blog and now the journey has begun again. But this time is storyboarding & project pitching journey.
First thing first, Mr.Ronald showed us a couple of animatics video so that we get some ideas on what good animatics look like and we took note of what makes a good animatics. I like both of the animatics especially 'Joust' it almost look like it's final the final one.
And after that we formed our group :-Raymond
-Jing Yuan
-Apple (Yan Ping)
-Joel
-Me (Rachael)
And we got our project brief. We're suppose to do create a music video storyboard and animatics on this song titled 'Coward of a County' by Kenny Rogers. Interesting song even though I'm not really a big fan of country music.
When I first listened to the music I didn't really paid attention to the lyrics. I was just listening to the melody and at first I thought it was a 'happy' song. However after I read the lyrics then I realised it wasn't really a 'happy' song it was more of drama type.
We didn't really do much today since we just got the assignment brief. But we still did something, we watched quite a few videos and tried getting inspiration. I thought of doing something like 'Juno' introduction. It's a simple but at the same time enjoyable.
We're still at the midst of searching for videos/things to inspire our creative little minds and hoped that tomorrow everyone will come up of something that is WOW!
